In the earlier guise she worked as a Youth Counsellor while also developing Community Arts projects.

2011 threw her into a new world: she was widowed suddenly and everything stopped. She started to write to breathe. Her blog http://www.thetaoofgrief.com reflects her journey to date, a stranger in a familiar land.

She writes literary fiction and is currently working on her second novel, The Hollowing together with a poetry anthology.
